For the 2017-2019 Biennium, Upsilon Chapter received three Showcase of Regional Excellence Awards from President Beth Tigges. The Showcase of Regional Excellence is designed to recognize the good work of chapters in relation to the biennial Presidential Call to Action. Recognition is given at the regional level and spans the course of the biennium. The Upsilon Chapter is being recognized for its work in fulfilling the Presidential Call-to-Action to Connect and Collaborate.

For the 2017-2019 Biennium, Upsilon Chapter has received two Showcase of Regional Excellence awards from Sigma President Beth Tigges. The awards relate to her Call to Action, and Upsilon receive the award for Connect and Collaborate, for its member engagement work, participation in Sigma conferences and activities, and partnerships with NYU Langone.

For the 2015-2017 Biennium, Upsilon Chapter was honored to be receiving the Chapter Communications and Publicity Award at the 44th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition, Upsilon Chapter received its second Chapter Key Award, demonstrating chapter excellence. Both awards were accepted by current Upsilon President, Larry Slater.
Also, Upsilon Chapter presented a chapter leadership poster at the 2017 Biennial Convention on the chapter's Mentorship Program. Spearheaded by Upsilon member, Dr. Billy Caceres, the Upsilon Mentoring Program has flourished and serves as a model for other Sigma Chapters.

Upsilon Chapter received the Chapter Key Award at the 42nd Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Chapter Key Award is the highest honor a chapter can receive for membership recruitment and retention, publicity and programming, professional and leadership development and local, national and international collaboration.

Upsilon Chapter presented their very first poster at the Sigma Leadership Forum in Indianapolis, Indiana.
April 2012
Upsilon Chapter won the STTI Chapter Circle Contest, recognizing chapter excellence in the development, use, and integration of the chapter's website on The Circle. In addition, our website was named the Chapter Website of the Month in March 2012.
October 2011
Upsilon Chapter celebrated its 50th Anniversary on October 24, 2011 at a beautiful ceremony at the Rosenthal Pavilion in Kimmel Center at NYU. At the 2011 STTI Biennial Convention in Grapevine, Texas, the Chapter was awarded with its momentous 50th-Anniversary plaque.

For the 2009-2011 Biennium, Upsilon Chapter received two Showcase of Regional Excellence Awards from President Karen Morin. The Showcase of Regional Excellence is designed to recognize the good work of chapters in relation to the biennial Presidential Call to Action. Upsilon Chapter received the award under "Creating Welcoming Environments" for its Meet the Board Pre-Induction Session and under "Enhancing Knowledge Resources" for its Research Awards Day.
