On Thursday, October 5, Sigma members and prospective members all enjoyed an evening of food, photo booth posing, networking, cake, and a sparkling cider toast to celebrate Sigma’s Founders' Day. The theme of the evening was Nurses: Shaping Everyday Practice through Innovation, Research, and Quality Improvement. An informative presentation was given by Mary Jo Vetter, DNP, RN, AGPCNP-BC about a nurse’s role in innovation. A presentation was also given by President Larry Slater about the history of Sigma Theta Tau, and information about the Upsilon chapter.
